Some dogs are meant to be fostered. Others make it clear from day one that they’re already home.
Four started his journey with his family as a foster dog, but it didn’t take long for everyone to realize he wasn’t going anywhere. Despite never having owned a Jack Russell Terrier before, they knew there was something special about him.
Today, Four is thriving. This little guy may be the smallest dog in the house, but he has the biggest personality. He attends agility training every week alongside his three Australian Shepherd brothers and loves proving that size doesn’t determine talent. Whether he’s racing through an agility course or launching himself into the air to pounce on a toy, Four keeps everyone entertained.
He’s also become a wonderful playmate for the foster dogs who continue to come through his family’s home, helping them learn, play, and gain confidence while they wait for their own forever families.
Four received his name from the Humane Society of Carroll County because he was the fourth male rescued from a large multi-dog situation. His family chose to keep that name because it serves as a daily reminder that he is so much more than a number.
And they’re right.
Every animal who comes through our doors has a story, a personality, and a future waiting to be written. We’re so grateful that Four found the family he was always meant to have.
Happy Tails, Four! We couldn’t be happier for you and your family.
