Ham’s story is a reminder that sometimes the right match just takes a little time.
Ham was waiting patiently at one of our PetSmart adoption locations for her forever home. After about a month, she returned to the shelter for another chance.
Enter Officer Forman of Carroll County Animal Control.
She was introduced to Ham—an adorable but very opinionated little hamster—and it didn’t take long. Just like that, Ham found her perfect match.
Now living her best life, Ham spends her days (and nights) running on her wheel, enjoying yogurt drop treats, and doing what she does best—completely destroying cardboard. She may be small, but she definitely has a big personality, and it’s safe to say she’s now running the household.
Ham may have a short tail, but she’s living a big, happy life filled with love—and that’s what matters most.
