Volunteers help make our lifesaving work possible at the Humane Society of Carroll County. Whether spending time with animals, lending a hand at events, or helping behind the scenes, our volunteers bring care, compassion, and support to animals while they wait for loving homes.
It’s Easy to Get Started!
Register as a volunteer! Once registered, volunteers ages 16 and older will be directed to sign up for a volunteer orientation, held weekly on Thursdays at 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. Choose the time that works best for you and take the first step toward making a difference.
Volunteering as a Family
We also offer a limited number of family-friendly volunteer opportunities for children ages 5–15, who must be accompanied by someone age 16 or older. The accompanying volunteer should register as an individual and complete orientation, where they’ll learn about the opportunities available to enjoy with children.
