HSCC’s Community Engagement Team brings people together through events that celebrate animals, connection, and compassion. From adoption events and fundraisers to community festivals and educational outreach, these gatherings create opportunities to meet adoptable pets, learn about lifesaving programs, and see our mission in action. Whether hosted by HSCC or in partnership with community organizations, each event strengthens the bond between people and animals while building a shared commitment to care, kindness, and lifesaving impact.

Animal Control officers are also an important part of HSCC’s presence in the community. Beyond responding to calls, officers regularly engage with residents at events, schools, and outreach opportunities to share practical information about animal care, safety, and local resources. Through humane education and positive interactions, they help build understanding, encourage responsible pet ownership, and inspire the next generation of animal advocates.
