Are You Seeking to Rehome Your Pet?

Resources to Help You Keep Your Pet
Pet Food Assistance
At the Humane Society of Carroll County, we believe pets belong with the families who love them. Sometimes, hardship makes it difficult for pet owners to provide the essentials their animals need. That is where our Pet Pantry comes in.
By offering pet food and supplies to families in need, we help keep animals in their homes and out of the shelter. Supporting pets where they are reduces the strain on our shelter and ensures animals stay with the people they trust most.
Our Sharing Shed is stocked with donated pet food and supplies to help meet common needs. It often includes wet and dry food for cats and dogs, and on occasion, supplies for small critters. We also frequently have pet beds, bowls, leashes, harnesses, treats, and toys available.
If you have a specific need, you are always welcome to let our staff know. While availability varies, we are happy to see if it is something we can help with or to point you toward additional resources.
Alternatives to the Shelter: Private Rehome
Humane Society of Carroll County (HSCC) supports individuals needing to rehome their pet in attempting to do so privately. Rehoming your pet on your own keeps them out of an animal shelter and provides you the peace of mind that you personally selected your pet’s new family. Call (410) 848-4810 option 2 to request an adopter background check.
